Gait Analysis Overview
Our gait is the way in which we move from one position to another. At Tri-N-Run, we use a gait analysis as a method to assess the way you walk and run to highlight biomechanics such as supination, normal pronation, or overpronation. This is an important step in selecting a walking/running shoe that is right for you, as technical running shoes are each designed to meet the specific needs of different gaits and foot shapes. The gait analysis will allow our professional staff to guide you in the selection of shoes that meet your individual gait.
Get the Correct Shoe with Gait Analysis

The photo to the right shows how much of a difference can be made by getting fit in the correct shoe. On the left is an example of someone who severely overpronates. Notice how much the ankles rotate inward as the foot transitions from heel to toe. One the right is the same person wearing an Asics Kayano which has the support this individual needs to help slow the rate of pronation. You can see how upright the ankle now remains. Fitting you into the correct shoe is key to helping you avoid potential injuries.
